IMPROVEMENTS TO THE MUNICIPAL WATER INFRASTRUCTURE AT THE KOPRIVNICA AGGLOMERATION

The project title Improvements to the Municipal Water Infrastructure at the Koprivnica Agglomeration includes investments in the water supply, and wastewater drainage and purification system in the Koprivnica-Križevci County area, specifically in the area of the town of Koprivnica including the municipalities of Peteranec, Đelekovec, Koprivnički Bregi, Rasinja, Drnje and Hlebine. This is the largest European infrastructural project in the history of the Koprivnica and the Koprivnica-Križevci County.

The project involves construction and reconstruction of the of the public drainage system, including expanding and reconstruction of the public water supply system as well as technological works at the wastewater purification plant.

In all, 69.21% of total approved costs for the Project are financed from EU grants, whereas the remaining 30.79% are co-financed from national funds.

The purpose of the Project is to increase the number of connections to the drainage system, increase the level of wastewater purification in areas with well-developed water supply systems, as well as includes the number of connections onto the water supply system and increase coverage of areas for available wastewater drainage services in the area of the Koprivnica agglomeration.
