REGULATION OF THE RIČINA TRIBUTARY FLOW IN ZADAR (PHASE 4)
The project to regulate the water flow of the Ričina from the bridge at Gaženička cesta (road) to the upstream bridge on the D8 state road covering a total length of 3.1 km envisages reconstruction of the water flow route by construction of defensive walls on the edge of the inundation area and partial widening of the tributary bed at certain sections.
The capacity of the tributary bed is increased from 20 to 56 m3/sec, thereby enabling reception of a significant large number of water waves during flooding events on the Ričina, and thereby increasing effectiveness of the dam against flooding in cases of extreme precipitation.
The fourth phase of the project includes construction of a newly opened canal, i.e., regulation of the Ričina tributary flow covering a length of 570 metres and the Kvandova jaruga tributary flow covering a length of 70 metres.
